We are having a birthday party in our home for my mother-in-law in less than 4 weeks, so I didn't want to put up all my fall decor in the living room just to take it down and put it back up again... so I'm decorating in other parts of the house and putting up shabby chic decor in our living room right now.
I couldn't wait for September 1st to come so I could start hauling my totes up from the basement. I know some people think I'm crazy to start even THAT early, but my inner DIY goddess and decorator wanted to starts weeks ago and I promised myself I would wait until the first of the month. I just love fall.... the colors, the smells, the chill in the air. It's my favorite!!!
In the middle of creating a new fall wreath for the front door. |
Voila. Grapevine wreath from Wal-Mart $3 Ribbon found on clearance for $0.25 Leaves from the Dollar Tree $1 The plaque is from a festival last year for $4 |
Don't you just L.O.V.E the oranges and reds against the teal door?!?!? O.M.G... LOVE!
More pics to come as the totes get emptied and the fall colors spread throughout my house!!
Edited to add: I did my first ever Linky Party thingy with this post over at Sand and Sisal. I'm pretty excited about it!! You know that I love fall and am excited to share and show my fall decor!
Until next time...
Krista

Yes ma'am, you were my first linky party! I've been blogging for four years, but just recently became a homeowner so I finally feel as though I have things to share from around the house. I look forward to sharing more!
